A 39-year-old male from Pleasant Grove and a 44-year-old man from Stratford has passed away following a single-vehicle collision in Pleasant Grove, P.E.I.
On May 19, at about 7 p.m., the Queens District RCMP members, the North Shore Fire Department, and Island E.M.S. reacted to a single-vehicle crash on Route 220 in Pleasant Grove, in central P.E.I.

In a press release, RCMP said the crash is thought to have happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road, and was hit by a tree. The cause of the crash stays under probe, and an autopsy will be scheduled to determine both individuals’ actual cause of death.
An RCMP crash reconstructionist and a member of the P.E.I. The coroner’s office is helping with the ongoing probe. Route 220 was shut for a short period and was re-opened to traffic later that night.
