P.E.I. records the 33rd COVID-related demise of pandemic

According to new statistics released by the region Tuesday, another person with COVID-19 has passed away on P.E.I. in the previous week.

The person was between the ages of 60 and 79 years. It keeps the 33rd COVID-related demise on P.E.I.

Six admitted are in hospital due to COVID-19, and none are in the intensive care Department. Sixteen others were admitted for other causes and were COVID-19 positive on or after admission.

According to new statistics released by the region Tuesday, another person with COVID-19 has passed away on P.E.I. in the previous week.

The data also reveals the average number of cases per day over the previous seven days continues to decrease. There were 113 new cases, compared with 128 and 166 the prior two weeks, respectively.

There were 792 new cases over the seven days, down from 899 the week ere. There are 1,139 active cases.

There was a standard of 411 tests per day, with more than 27 percent testing positive.
