The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary charged a 22-year-old man in Paradise Monday evening following a shooting and attack in the Goulds neighborhood of St. John’s the night before.
According to court information, Thomas Barnes is scheduled to emerge in regional court on charges that have aggravated assault, attack with a weapon, and unauthorized possession of a handgun in a motor vehicle.
A man in his 20s was injured and taken to hospital after an invasion around Pipeline Road and the Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive.
Citizens told CBC News they could see police officers with weapons removed combing the place on Sunday night for almost two hours.
At the time, the RNC warned people to stay in their houses during the search.
Brandon Chafe, 20, was arrested Sunday and met a series of firearms crimes and a charge of aggravated assault.
